I can’t help to think -eyelashes when I think about Aeon Flux. But I do! Aeon Flux conjures up Avant Garde is a stange alter futuristic reality. While I was too young to follow the show closely ( and frankly to scared of some of the characters in the show). I just know that their clothing seemed like the only freedom the nation of Monica had.
But I digress, a futuristic comicbook/tv show character needs futuristic makeup and Givenchy Phenomen’eyes is just it.

When Water &Power corporation is monopolizing all the water supply in 2033. Tank Girl ( and Jet Girl) spring to action on adventure to stop them. Though it would be easy if TG kept her charasmatic trap shut right? I bet she’s a big fan of anything Army green from Urban Decay!
In 1995 Tank Girl the comic book was adapted into a film with Lori Petty ( the part fits her so well) and Naomi Watts along with Michael McDowell and Ice-T as a Kangaroo- human hybrid.
p.s. the soundtrack to the movie is pretty kickin’
Oh the future.

Tao at Jeremy Scott Spring 2010 Show
Flinstones was the inspiration for Jeremy Scott’s Spring 2010 collection, what’s unfortunate is I would probably wear some of this stuff too. Imagine, you go to some day spa where you splash mud all over yourself to help purify, cleanse and balance – low and behold, someone walks in wearing a Flintstones print bathing suit.. that’d be me!
The hair and makeup on display for the Spring 2010 show was just as spectacular as the clothes, I love Tao Okomato’s look amethyst destiny meets stark glitter halo that looks like a winged creature. The hair, a playful site for jovial eyes- Halloween inspiration? Maybe.
I’ve been a long time fan of Mr. Scott and I was delighted to meet him in ’07 while working with Paper Magazine for their I Love LA issue. He was pleasant, nice and knows ( or knew) my first name. Plus he gave me a very cool gift that I still keep with me. Yes, its small- but a small gesture makes a big impact on this girl. I love my button, and carry it on my weekend travel totes at all times.
